Director of Business Development

Matt Morgan joined Granite Creek in 2025 as Director of Business Development, leading efforts to grow the firm’s agribusiness strategy through 20 years of industry experience and a robust network of relationships.

Matt brings 20 years of experience in agribusiness, with a strong background in growth strategy, partnerships, and M&A. Prior to joining Granite Creek, he spent over nine years at Farm Journal, a premier business information and media company serving the agriculture sector. During his tenure, Matt held several senior leadership roles, including Executive Vice President of Produce, Executive Vice President of Corporate Development, and Chief Revenue Officer.

Earlier in his career, Matt held key leadership positions at Vance Publishing, where he served as Executive Director of Agribusiness, overseeing the livestock, ag retail, and produce divisions, as well as Director of Agribusiness Media Operations.

In addition to his professional experience, Matt remains actively involved in the industry through ownership interests in cattle feeding and farming operations. He holds a B.A. in Marketing and Public Relations from Kansas State University.
